We are a premier furniture retailer specializing in the import and sale of high-quality Italian furniture. With a reputation for excellence and a commitment to innovation, we serve a diverse and discerning customer base across multiple markets.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Legal Executive with a robust background in the retail sector, particularly in handling a comprehensive range of legal matters related to the import and sale of Italian furniture. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of experience in this field, with specific expertise in drafting and negotiating various commercial and employment contracts, joint venture arrangements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commercial Contracts:
o Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, marketing agreements, leases, and terms and conditions.
o Manage joint venture arrangements, ensuring all legal aspects are covered and aligned with business objectives.
o Provide legal support for international trade, focusing on import regulations and compliance for Italian furniture.


• Employment Law:
o Draft and review employment contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws.
o Handle employment-related disputes and provide legal advice on HR policies and practices.


• Dispute Resolution:
o Manage dispute resolution processes internationally, including issues with Italian suppliers and customer service disputes.
o Handle litigation and arbitration cases, developing strategies to mitigate legal risks and protect the company's interests.
o Address defamation claims and implement risk management strategies to safeguard the company's reputation.


• Intellectual Property:
o Oversee trademark, copyright, and patent matters in multiple jurisdictions.
o Handle applications, renewals, and oppositions, ensuring the protection of the company's intellectual property assets.
o Provide strategic advice on the management and enforcement of intellectual property rights.


• Regulatory Compliance and Data Protection:
o Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements across all operational jurisdictions.
o Oversee data protection policies and compliance, particularly with GDPR and other data privacy regulations.
o Advise on legal issues related to marketing campaigns and promotional activities.


• Strategic Input:
o Participate in business strategy discussions, providing legal insights and risk assessments.
o Collaborate with senior management to align legal strategies with business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Law degree

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in the retail sector, specifically with legal matters related to the import and sale of Italian furniture.

• Extensive experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation, employment law, and regulatory compliance.

• Proven expertise in dispute resolution, with at least 15 years of experience managing disputes and litigation.

• At least 15 years of experience in intellectual property law, including trademarks, copyright, and patents.

• Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strategic thinking and strong business acumen.

• Fluency in English is necessary.
