Lab Shift Technician

What you will do
  • Contribute to the safe operation and quality of the Lab to meet the business/company goals
  • Intervene in unsafe acts and identify safety issues within the Lab and report them appropriately
  • Enhance and maintain proficiency in Lab testing skills
  • Respond to site emergencies as required
  • Execute work in accordance with Lab quality, operating and safety standards and comply with industry testing standards
  • Take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others
  • Conduct checks to ensure safe work practices are followed by peers and contractors
  • Participate in safety meetings, field checks, incident investigations, and emergency drills
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability in maintaining housekeeping standards
  • Conduct routine testing and certification of refinery products, streams, and feedstocks
  • Perform Lab instrument's SQC, troubleshoot and maintain test equipment, and conduct training on lab testing
  • Ensure effective shift handover processes and perform any other duties as assigned
About you
  • Minimum qualification: GCE 'O' level, Polytechnic diploma preferred
  • Team player, proactive, eager to learn, responsible, adaptable, good communicator, well-organized
  • No prior work experience required, relevant experience is a plus
  • Able to work 12-hour shifts and cover other shifts as needed
