We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Lab Operations Technician at ExxonMobil Corporation.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the safe operation and quality of the laboratory to meet business objectives and company goals.
- Identify and report safety issues within the laboratory and escalate to the appropriate level.
- Develop and sustain competency in laboratory testing skills.
- Respond to site emergencies as needed.
- Execute work in accordance with laboratory quality, operating, and safety standards and procedures, and comply with company quality standards and industry testing standards.
- Ensure personal safety and the safety of others in the assigned post.
- Conduct field checks and interventions on peers and contractors to ensure safe work practices.
- Participate in safety meetings and conduct field checks to identify and rectify unsafe facilities, work conditions, and acts.
- Participate in incident investigations and propose solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Participate in emergency drills and respond confidently during business continuity plan activations.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are met in the assigned area.
- Perform routine testing and certification of refinery products, intermediate streams, and feedstocks as per testing methods.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of test equipment as needed.
- Conduct training on laboratory testing as necessary.
- Carry out quality and effective shift handover and takeover process.
- Qualifications: minimum GCE 'O' level, Polytechnic diploma preferred.
- Team player with initiative, willingness to learn, responsible, adaptable, effective communicator, and good organization/planning skills.
- Work experience: none required, related relevant experience will be an advantage.
- Able to work 12-hr shift schedule and be flexible to cover other shifts or day teams as needed.
