Job Description

The Financial Analysis Manager plays a crucial role in leading the financial analysis team to provide valuable insights for strategic decision-making. This involves detailed financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. Collaboration across departments is key to offer recommendations based on financial data, ensuring the organization meets its financial goals.

Main Responsibilities

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Develop financial models and conduct in-depth financial analyses to support business initiatives.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and offer insights to senior management.
  • Prepare variance analysis and explanations of actual financial results compared to budget, forecast, and prior periods.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Manage the annual budgeting process, including coordinating with various departments to gather necessary information.
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasts, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
  • Analyze budget variances and propose corrective actions as required.

Strategic Planning

  • Support long-term strategic planning efforts by providing financial analysis and scenario modeling.
  • Participate in evaluating new business opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Provide financial insights for strategic decision-making and business planning processes.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of financial analysts, offering guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Ensure team members have the necessary resources and training to carry out their responsibilities effectively.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support for business projects.
  • Effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between the finance department and other departments in the organization.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Develop and enhance financial reporting systems and tools to boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes that might impact financial analysis procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial software).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with GAAP and other pertinent financial regulations.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software is advantageous.
