The Corporate Communications Office (CCO) oversees the University's strategic communications to consistently present NTU as a worldwide university founded on science and technology, excelling in business, humanities, education and medicine. CCO creates and shares content across various digital platforms such as social media, NTU's corporate website, electronic direct mailers (eDMs), and online paid media. The team also focuses on collecting and analyzing performance metrics from diverse sources as part of their regular operations.

Collaborating closely with NTU's Office of Data and Analytics, the Data Scientist specializing in Marketing Analytics and Insights will take charge in identifying opportunities or gaps in data sources, conducting thorough analysis, modeling, and testing to gain deeper insights into NTU's target audiences, ensure precise marketing attribution, and enhance the team's communication strategies. This role includes contributing to the development of an omnichannel marketing dashboard for continuous monitoring of touchpoint performance to enhance effectiveness throughout the marketing funnel.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the expert in marketing research, measurement, and attribution, utilizing a range of skills and technologies to derive valuable insights and predictive outcomes from diverse data sets.
  • Translate business inquiries into actionable plans and develop research strategies to tackle them, covering areas like content performance, audience characteristics, brand sentiment, user experience, and attribution analysis.
  • Collaborate with fellow data scientists at NTU to ensure alignment in data collection methods and measurement standards, contributing to the advancement of data-driven decision-making at NTU.
  • Oversee the visualization and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs), including involvement in creating a comprehensive digital marketing performance dashboard.
  • Lead efforts in recommending, procuring, and implementing tools to streamline the collection, storage, and analysis of digital marketing data.

Requirements

  • Approximately 5 years of experience in a quantitative marketing role, ideally within a data science team, media agency, or digital marketing agency.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing end-to-end marketing research projects, from hypothesis formulation to data interpretation and presentation.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing analytics, audience research, and statistical methods.
  • Familiarity with relational databases as well as XML/JSON/APIs.
