The Advanced Analytics team is an integral part of Singtel Singapore and aims to make customer-centric decisions driven by advanced analytics. We are seeking a Seasoned Data Scientist who is enthusiastic about delivering business impact through analytics and machine learning.

The Senior Data Scientist role plays a crucial part in supporting our efforts in insights discovery and ML model development to effectively predict and anticipate market changes and their effects on our Business. This role also influences every pivotal decision we make in our business operations to unveil new insights and foster new revenue streams.

Create Impact by:

  • Collaborating with Business stakeholders to interpret opportunities and problem statements, devise and implement ML/AI solutions, including Generative AI and LLM
  • Developing and integrating analytical models into a customer-centric decision engine
  • Analyzing customer behavior to reveal insights tied to Singtel's product and service offerings
  • Improving and managing data & analytical models associated with customer interactions, life stage, affluence, and interests
  • Enabling data exploration, insight discovery, and experimentation for life cycle marketing campaigns
  • Conveying data insights and discoveries to broader audiences within Singtel

Success Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Practical experience in integrating analytical models into decision-making processes, collaborating with stakeholders, and translating insights into actionable decisions
  • Profound technical and data science knowledge, showcasing proficiency in: Analytical methods: Statistical modeling (e.g., linear regression, GLMs, time series), supervised machine learning (e.g., Gradient Boosted Tree, Neural Networks), Generative AI, LLMs, design of experiments, segmentation/clustering, text mining, network analysis, optimization, simulation Analytics tools: Efficient data manipulation (with skills in SQL, Python, Spark, Hadoop/Hive, and Impala) and data visualization (using tools like Power BI)
  • Proven track record of deploying machine learning algorithms in a production environment
  • Outstanding data visualization and communication abilities, capable of delivering insights and findings in a clear, concise, and engaging manner, both in written and verbal formats
  • Familiarity with code review procedures, including the capacity to assess and enhance the quality of code written by other team members to ensure best practices and optimal performance
  • Strong aptitude for problem-solving, with the capability to identify and resolve complex business issues through data analysis
  • A collaborative team member with a customer-focused approach, adept at working effectively in a team and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences
