[What the role is]
Automation Engineering Group is a part of our Advance Manufacturing Cluster in the School of Engineering. This group focuses on new and emerging industrial robotics and automation technologies and their applications for adoption within precision manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and food manufacturing sectors. This job position requires the competency in these technologies, deliver the knowhow to our PET and CET learners and apply towards industry projects to support our industries.

[What you will be working on]

  • Involve in the total development of our learners, including mentoring, and career guidance.
  • Lead and conduct PET and CET curriculum development, course delivery and project supervision.
  • Plan and lead out-reach programs, in-reach programs, and overseas educational trips.
  • Lead new and emerging industrial robotics and automation technology and their applications that contribute to preparing our learners for future work and strengthening industry's capability.

[What we are looking for]

  • Relevant qualification in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics Systems Engineering or other related fields of study.
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Factory automation applications
    • Industrial network and fieldbus control systems
    • PLC and/or industrial robot programming and applications
    • Human machine interface (HMI) programming and applications
    • SCADA programming and applications
    • I4.0 and IIoT technology applications
    • Sustainable automation technology applications
  • Possess critical thinking skills, interpersonal skills, and a team player.
