Job Title: Lecturer in Electronics and Product Design

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer in Electronics and Product Design to join our team at Republic Polytechnic. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the School of Engineering, with a focus on electronics and product design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver curriculum in design thinking, user experience, circuit and industrial design, hardware interfacing and prototyping development, computer programming.
  • Facilitate student learning and provide guidance on academic and industry research projects.
  • Mentor students, supervise student final year projects, and solicit and supervise student internship.
  • Reach out to various stakeholders such as secondary school students, teachers, parents, and universities.
Requirements:
  • Qualification in Electrical / Electronic Engineering/ Mechatronics/ Mechanical Engineering.
  • Genuine interest and passion to share knowledge and interact with youths.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-driven, independent, and proactive, with a strong team-oriented work ethic.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Relevant working experience in electronics, mechatronics, software programming, mechanical design or Internet of Things (IoT).
  • Experience in one of the following technical domain areas: Electronics, Robotics, Augmented Reality/ Virtual Reality (AR/VR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), or Product Design and Development.
