Group Technology and Operations (T&O) plays a crucial role in ensuring the bank operates with a strong, efficient, and adaptable infrastructure. By focusing on productivity, quality, technology, and innovation, we manage a range of operational processes and strive to provide exceptional service through various banking channels.

We're on the lookout for a talented Quality Engineering Lead to join our Digital Technology team in Singapore. In this role, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the quality and reliability of our digital software products throughout their development journey. Your responsibilities will include overseeing a team of quality engineers and collaborating with cross-functional representatives to drive our organization's quality strategy and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of software quality engineers, offering guidance and mentorship to support their growth and ensure top-notch deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape and execute the quality strategy and roadmap, set quality goals, and monitor progress.
  • Implement automation solutions to enhance quality, productivity, and error reduction.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in software quality engineering and promote their integration within the organization.
  • Define and oversee quality metrics for Development and QA teams, providing updates to senior management and driving improvement initiatives.
  • Establish effective quality assurance processes in compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Facilitate the adoption of new tools and solutions through training sessions.
  • Cultivate a culture of quality and continuous improvement, emphasizing proactive risk identification and resolution.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Bring at least 10 years of software engineering experience, including 5 years in leadership roles focusing on testing methodologies.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, motivation, and guidance skills for quality engineers and stakeholders.
  • Exhibit excellent negotiation and influencing abilities.
  • Possess proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented qualities.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  • Be proficient in automated testing frameworks like Selenium, Appium, and JUnit.
  • Be familiar with quality and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, and Fortify.
  • Show expertise in Java and JavaScript programming, with additional knowledge in mobile development languages as a bonus.
  • Understand Micro-services & Micro Front-end architecture.
  • Have experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and cloud platforms.
  • Feature strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Display solid communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
