  • Job Description:

The role of the Customer Services Officer is to provide a warm and knowledgeable experience for patients and customers at the Information Counter and within Thomson Medical Centre (TMC). The officer plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless hospital operations and maintaining a consistently high service standard for both internal and external customers. This includes handling duties delegated by the Manager of Hospitality and the Senior Manager of Guest Services.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Address walk-in and telephone inquiries at the information counter or in the lobby, offering guidance on general directions within the hospital, booking hospital tours, providing pricing information for hospital stays, etc.
  • Handle complaints/feedback professionally, if encountered.
  • Conduct maternity/hospital tours to introduce potential patients to the facilities.
  • Process walk-in membership applications.
  • Respond to Guest Services and Membership email inquiries promptly.
  • Escort patients to their respective wards, providing room orientation or guiding them to the delivery suite post-admission as needed.
  • Assist in receiving hospital items like gift packs for patients, conducting stock-takes, ensuring delivery to patients in the ward, and maintaining records of hospital inventory.
  • Offer support and cross-coverage for colleagues from Concierge, Bellhop, and Guest Services Associates during meal breaks, sick leave, annual leave, etc., when necessary.
  • Undertake any other tasks as assigned periodically.
  • Requirements:
  • Hold a GCE "N", "O" Level, or Diploma.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the healthcare or hospitality sectors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Work with precision and accuracy regarding details and factual information.
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude in anticipating customer needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Possess a pleasant and service-oriented personality.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be independent, self-motivated, and results-driven.
  • Be a good team player.
  • Work a 5-day week with Saturday as a working day.
  • Off on 1 weekday with Sunday as the rest day.
  • Working hours: Mon to Fri 8:00 am to 5:30 pm / 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
