Therefore, this position description is designed to outline primary duties, qualifications, and job scope, but not limit the employee, nor NLCS (Singapore), to only the work identified.

It is the expectation of the school, that each employee will offer his/her services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our organisation.

Operations

  • Provide day to day supervision for the provision, operation and monitoring of support services provided by the School including, catering, transport and security.
  • Work with all subcontractors within the school including assisting in preparation of tenders, maintenance of contracts
  • Oversee operational onboarding for new joiners, in the absence of the Operations Manager.
  • Supervise and manage the outsourced servicing teams for catering and transport, for effective school operations.
  • Provide logístical coordination and support for events, which may be out of school hours.
  • Closely liaise with the security and facilities teams to ensure the school remains safe and in ideal working order.

Health and Safety

  • Assist the Operations Manager in ensuring Health and Safety protocols across all of the school's operations departments are adhered to.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and actively participating in the school's Health and Safety committee.
  • Assist to coordinate fire and emergency drills.

Regulatory

  • Ensure that the schools operation departments are compliant with local legislation.
  • Handle operational issues in an effective, prompt and professional manner
  • Ensure that the School meets its legal obligations in all areas of activity including health and safety and data protection and report potential difficulties to the Operations Manager.
  • Track NLCS media references and ensure the Principal is updated and responsive where appropriate
  • Advise and guide the school on all aspects of communication and PR/communications collateral
  • Oversee the school's internal communication strategy, including leading on all aspects of the parent portal
  • Oversee and lead on parent forums, ensuring that we provide accurate and useful information to parents, in an appropriate manner
  • Be the school's first point of contact for the Parent Association, and overseeing adherence to the bylaws
  • Advise and guide the Principal on all aspects related to parent satisfaction and experience
  • Work alongside the Vice-Principal with responsibility for the School Calendar to ensure that we produce a calendar that is effective and is communicated appropriately
  • To offer communications support to all school events, as and when required

  • Abide by the school safeguarding policy and keep abreast of any changes

Qualifications/Skills

  • Diploma and above
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to engage stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
  • Meticulous, resourceful and with a strong sense of initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fastpaced environment
  • Preferably with prior experience in a school or education setting
  • Willing to work beyond normal working hours when needed
