Description

Chemical Market Analytics (CMA), by OPIS, a Dow Jones Company is looking for a Senior Research Analyst to join their team focusing on market research and analysis of the Asian Aromatics market. The role involves maintaining, updating, and expanding the CMA database and models.

You will:
  • Oversight of content, forecast methodology, and quality.
  • Provide ongoing analysis to the Aromatics services, analyzing trends, costs, and demand dependencies for products.
  • Take ownership of publishing charts and tables, updating them as needed.
  • Offer editorial input on text provided by global product experts.
  • Create presentation materials in Microsoft Power Point for meetings and conferences.
  • Address client questions and participate in client brainstorming sessions.
  • Maintain production capacity database, supply-demand balance forms, and engage with internal functions and business lines.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to support business growth.
  • Interact with other business lines to maximize Chemical Market Analytics solutions.
  • Ensure global product area consistency and continuity with the global team.

You have:

  • Essential knowledge of the chemical industry, with a preference for experience in the Aromatics sector.
  • 3+ years of industry experience, ideally in the chemical field.
  • An engineering degree is required, an MBA is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese.
  • Confidence in speaking to global clients and handling client requests.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Suite, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
