First announced in September 2020 and valued at S$3.2 billion, the merger of Aviva Singapore and Singlife was the largest insurance deal in Singapore then and created one of the largest homegrown financial services companies in the republic.


Purpose of the Role:

Manage and motivates the group insurance claim to:

  • Participant in claims projects and its implementation.
  • Meet service level agreements and turnaround times
  • Improve Productivity
  • Manage LOGs and Claims Receivables
  • Assess and process local and overseas claims
  • Ensure claims receivable and payout to providers are prompt and accurate
  • Other assigned tasks, for example report preparations, finance and payment activities, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage claims turnaround time and accuracy performance according to the parameters set. All claims type including Health and Life claims.
  • Projects that involved inputs on claim rules for various IT systems and its UAT
  • Leading the team in adopting the use of new processes and systems
  • Devising guidelines for claims assessment as part of the process and productivity improvement.
  • Projects that involved inputs on claim rules for various IT systems and its UAT
  • Assess claims using Group Insurance core systems, other business systems including vendors' systems.
  • Review on medical service providers relating to claims
  • Review and improve claim processes
  • Review and enhance straightthroughprocessing rules
  • Arrive at customer orientated outcomes by working with key stakeholders.
  • Engage key stakeholders when handling appeal cases or complex cases.
  • Establish good working relationship with intermediaries and clients.

Key Decisions within the Role:

  • Approval of claims within Claims Authority Limit.
  • Recommend claims decision if the case is above his/ her approval limit
  • Complete assigned tasks independently and within stipulated timelines.

Requirements:

Experience

  • Familiar with group insurance products like Group Term Life, Group Personal Accident, Group Disability Income, Group Critical Illness, Group Hospitalisation & Surgical and Group Outpatient
  • Group Claims
Experience of at least 3 years, Good Oral & Written Communication.

Education

  • Completion of Health Insurance Certificate, M5 & M9 is preferred.
  • Diploma or Degree
