Summary:

  • The Group Financial Controller (GFC) will be responsible for leading the financial strategy and operations of our F&B group.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
  • Manage and oversee the preparation of timely financial statements and reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare financial forecasts, including budgets, cash flow projections, and variance analysis, providing recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, including overseeing accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Manage and oversee the preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Oversee the annual audit process and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with banks, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Manage and lead the accounting and finance team, providing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Oversee the development of business plans, financial models, and feasibility studies for new ventures or expansion opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a risk management framework to ensure the protection of the company's assets and investments.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements, including maintaining an effective system of internal controls.

Job Specifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; MBA and/or CPA or CMA certification preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a financial leadership role, preferably in the F&B industry.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a track record of developing and mentoring team members.
