Responsibilities:

  • Operate the process accordance with the Standard of Operations and comply strictly with safety, quality and environmental guidelines.
  • Patrol plant process, confirm the condition of process and equipment.
  • Collect and analyze samples for product quality and process evaluation.
  • Report all process/equipment/environmental abnormalities, incidents and/or near misses. Take part in further investigation when required.
  • Assist in coordination of daily maintenance planning, and participate in maintenance activities and shutdown/startup of sections.
  • Improve production status and equipment performance on productivity and quality.
  • Assist in training of new technicians.
  • Participate as CERT member.
  • Carry out scheduled housekeeping activities.
  • Ensure proper handover and takeover during shift changes. Any other duties as and when required to be done by superior.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma/NITEC in Chemical Process Technology/Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experiences in chemical manufacturing plant.
  • Experience in operating polymerization unit and extrusion unit with automated control would be an added advantage.
  • Possesses basic knowledge of maintenance, chemical engineering and analytical procedures.
  • An effective team player with good communication skills.
  • Must be able to work on 12hours rotating shift in Jurong Island.
