Solutions Architect - Cloud Sales Centre

You will educate organizations on cloud best practices, guide them on migrating existing workloads to the cloud, and engage with a wide range of customers, from startups to large enterprises.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) play a vital role in increasing revenue, adoption, and growth from small to mid-market accounts and enterprise-level customers, including the public sector.

The AWS Global Support team interacts closely with leading companies and emphasizes the importance of world-class support for customer success.

This role includes key responsibilities such as:

  • Serving as a pivotal technical member of the Solutions Architecture team, ensuring customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform
  • Leading in-depth technical discussions with customers, delving into intricate details to solve complex challenges, and leveraging your expertise to design scalable, flexible, and robust cloud architectures
  • Aligning with your customer's business needs to expedite the adoption of the most suitable AWS technology
  • Acting as a Builder, shaping the direction of products and services by gathering customer feedback and collaborating with engineering and service teams

Your technical expertise, business acumen, and ability to lead technology discussions at all levels will be instrumental in shaping the customer journey in this role.

In partnership with customers, you will design and develop highly scalable, flexible, and robust cloud architectures and solutions.

You will work collaboratively with Sales and other teams to address customer needs, expedite the adoption of AWS services, and drive revenue growth.

Your collaborative efforts will extend to our services teams, marketing, and professional services.

About the team

This role is within the ASEAN CSC Solution Architecture (SA) team.

The CSC is the inside sales organization of AWS, focusing on new customer acquisitions across ASEAN at scale.

You will have an exciting opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally and cross-geographically, engaging with internal stakeholders from sales, operations, partner, and marketing teams while being part of a new concept at AWS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a specific technology domain area (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics, AI)
  • Proven experience in creating proof of concepts, demos, and/or scripts from scratch or utilizing reusable components
  • Ownership of customer engagement end-to-end and adept communication with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience collaborating with partners during various sales stages (qualifications, demo, poc, implementation, etc) and enablement
  • Strategic thinking ability regarding business, product, and technical challenges
  • Proficiency in Bahasa or Thai, including speaking, writing, and understanding the language effectively

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Comprehensive technology experience (hands-on or pre-sales) encompassing: cloud architecture, applications development, relational databases, NoSQL databases, analytics, machine learning, networking, security, storage, DevOps, containers, serverless, CI/CD, management and monitoring, cloud migrations, IT transformation
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics or Generative AI or Application Modernization solutions, with the ability to design and articulate the business value from technical solutions
  • Understanding of cloud-native technologies like Snowflake, Databricks, Anthropic, etc
  • Familiarity with on-premises technology stack, such as Imperva, SAP, etc.
  • Experience in architecting/designing solutions primarily on the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Adaptability to new technologies and rapid learning capabilities
  • One or more valid AWS Certifications, such as AWS Solutions Architect, or an equivalent cloud certification
