Role Overview


As a software engineer on the media tools and automation team, you will build tools and systems that automate the live and VOD streaming workflow and the validation of media.


What You Will Do

  • Automate the live and VOD streaming workflow and implement a media validation framework.
  • Work crossfunctionally with content management, transcoding, content delivery, and player teams.
  • Provide developers and live streaming operators with test automation and observation tools, such as test UI, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Participate in software design reviews and influence developers to build testable software.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software development for a VOD or live streaming domain.
  • Experience in developing automation tools and test frameworks.
  • Experience in developing cloud infrastructure using AWS.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Java, or Go).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with media playback development on the iOS, Android, or Web platforms.
  • Understanding of AWS media technology, such as AWS Media Elemental or IVS.
  • Understanding of Media Codecs and DRM such as AVC, HEVC, AV1, Widevine, and FairPlay.
