Job Summary:

As a Regional Technical Specialist, you will play an active role in meetings, providing updates and insights on technical matters. Additionally, you will assess technical issues for Dead on Arrival (DOA) classification, contribute to knowledge articles for streamlined troubleshooting, offer on-site support for New Product Introduction (NPI) products, and assist with initial installations across APAC countries.

As a Subject Matter Expert, you will support regional escalation both remotely and on-site as required. The role also involves assessing warranty claims for direct and indirect markets, aiming to reach fair and accurate resolutions that satisfy all stakeholders.

Location: Office based in Singapore

Hiring is contingent upon approval of an employment permit for non-residents

  • Attend weekly First Line Support (FLS) meetings to provide technical updates and insights.
  • Support remote troubleshooting with APAC teams, including distributors, via Team communication platform, and provide on-site assistance when needed for prompt issue resolution.
  • Assess technical issues and make recommendations regarding Dead on Arrival (DOA) equipment due to technical faults.
  • Collaborate on creating knowledge articles within the CRM system to document solutions and best practices for efficient troubleshooting.
  • Participate in initial training sessions for New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives at the factory and offer on-site support for initial installations in APAC countries.
  • Contribute as part of the global specialist network, providing technical advice and support to counterparts in various regions for consistent service delivery and knowledge sharing.
  • Offer valuable technical and service feedback to Research & Development (R&D), Quality Assurance (QA), Manufacturing, and Product Management (PM) teams during product development stages to improve product performance and reliability.
  • Manage spare parts inventory recommendations for APAC direct markets in collaboration with the global spare planner, considering global and regional consumption patterns.
  • Regularly review technical releases, updates, and changes to stay informed and apply relevant knowledge for effective product support.
  • Understand laboratory safety protocols and procedures for the well-being of patients, staff, and embryos.
  • Have knowledge of reproductive biology, including embryology, gamete handling, and fertilization processes.
  • Be proficient with operating and maintaining specialized laboratory equipment used in IVF procedures, such as micromanipulators, incubators, workstations, and cryopreservation systems.
  • Possess basic IT knowledge for equipment engineers, including understanding computer hardware, operating systems, networking fundamentals, troubleshooting skills, and basic cybersecurity principles. Proficiency in standard office applications, documentation skills, and openness to learning new technologies are also key for managing equipment-related IT tasks effectively.
  • Ability to comprehend highly technical materials, including technical specifications, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings, is crucial for an equipment engineer. These documents provide essential information for understanding equipment design, functionality, and troubleshooting procedures, enabling effective maintenance and optimization of equipment systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
