  • Would you like to learn more about the key participants and dynamics of capital markets, the cornerstones of a merger, an acquisition or a trade sale? Would you like to take an active role in shaping the future of capital markets, advising multinationals and large corporates across Southeast Asia?
  • As part of this mission you'll:
  • get to know capital markets from the funding stage to the disposal of securities
- be involved in and contribute to providing M&A advice and execution, including spinoffs, takeovers, exchange offers, takeover defense and formation of joint ventures
- interact with the debt and equities platforms to get insights in the investor sentiment and market trends
- work as part of the deal team on the origination and execution of high-profile mandates
- support on process coordination and interactions with various stakeholders
- work on marketing materials and analyses
- contribute to the team's financial modelling and valuation exercises
- conduct research activities including market and company analyses
- perform administrative tasks

Your team

  • As part of this role, you'll be working in our Investment Bank's Global Banking division. You'll closely interact with the Mergers and Acquisitions, the Equity and Debt Capital Markets, the Southeast Asian coverage and the sector teams, providing coverage, advisory, capital markets and financing solutions for corporate, financial institutions and sponsor clients.

Your expertise- Role focuses on client engagement and business development in Singapore for clients consisting of but not limited to Chinese, Indian, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian.

Knowledge of one of the following languages:
Mandarin, Hindi, Thai, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesian is advantageous for this role.

- can demonstrate a genuine interest for capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, the overall macro
- and microeconomic context, and understand the key factors, drivers and stakeholders that shape or operate in the industry, respectively
- possess strong ties to, have studied or resided in the Southeast Asian region
- can show solid financial modelling skills and exceptional attention to detail
- can act as a problem-solver who takes initiative and ownership of tasks
- are in possession of a strong work ethic and can distinguish yourself through an ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic professional environment
- possess a high level of professionalism and personal integrity
- have an ability to understand the broader context and to exercise sound judgement call in taking decisions or conducting analytical work
- are a team player and possess excellent communication skills
- have an excellent oral and written command of English (any further Southeast Asian language being a plus)

Your Program

  • On this 6month offcycle internship you'll get to take an active role in our Global Banking team. You'll have the opportunity to obtain, besides your university degree course, a real first experience and introduction in a large financial institution and be in the middle of the actors that drive and shape capital markets. You'll closely work with seasoned finance professionals and learn about the industry, our clients, our firm and strategy. You'll have the change to develop advanced skills and enlarge your network of contacts. And if you impress us, your placement may result into a careertrack graduate position.
