2024 APAC Long Internship (Jan - Jun) \xe2\x80\x93 Information Technology & Operations \xe2\x80\x93 Singapore

Our 6 months internship is designed to provide you with first class training and immediate responsibility, it gives you the support and development you need to start a successful career in financial services.

Who can apply?
To be considered for the placement, you will: Apply as an undergraduate student Possess GPA of 3.3 out of 4.0 or above (or equivalent) in any discipline; Have to be fluent in spoken and written English (additional languages are an advantage); and Demonstrate methodical, logical, solution-driven thinking, with commercial awareness and a keen interest in latest finance topics as well as market trends. Induction
You will be provided with a comprehensive induction, where you will be immersed in group training and discover more about the BNP Paribas Group.

Training
From day one, you will start your business specific technical and financial training, alongside personal skills development aimed at equipping you with the knowledge you need to get you the best possible start in your career. Working alongside our teams of industry leading specialists, you will gain on-the-job training throughout your 6 months internship taking you along a development path to build your expertise and broaden your base of skills.

What you will do?

The APAC GM Front2Back team is responsible for delivering the services to its clients on Global Markets perimeter. This team is responsible for managing regional projects, coordinating and implementing global projects affecting APAC region mainly for the Global Market perimeter across FIC, G10, Rates, Commodities and other Equity derivatives business lines.

Main responsibilities for the candidate would be to

1. Functional expert and SPOC to the business in Asia on the domains working on.

2. Project management of topics, driving front to back and transversal projects for APAC

3. Stakeholder management, Steering of governance and strong relationship with business and clients

4. Bring expertise on end-to-end process with a strong focus on improving end to end efficiency

5. Develop a clear vision of the target processes including innovation / digital as the case may be

Direct Responsibilities Project manager on the different topics allocated, manage end-to-end project on Scoping, execution, testing and production. Build a strong project culture on reporting, stakeholder management Functional expert on the domain, conduct end to end studies and architecture and solution definition Act as a subject matter expert on the domains, perform analysis Production support where intervention is required on a functional expertise level. Perform end-to-end tests, plan and coordinate UAT, change management and golive support. Able to work in a matrix environment building a strong relationship with Regional and Central IT teams and clients A team player, who is able to work in a diverse team and comes with an open mindset to learn and adapt Provide regular updates to project sponsors and business stakeholders, organize project steering meetings and issues meeting minutes Collaborate and follow up with development teams regionally/globally to establish IT Solutions and ensure timely delivery of the IT Solution Develop good communication channel and good working relationship with Central teams in Europe and ISPL and ability to influence global teams to deliver APAC specific requirements. Pre-empt and escalate any risks/issues to management/steering committees in a timely manner Provide tactical solution to business in case of tight timelines and collaborate with different stake holders to provide strategic solution Provide trainings to Business Users and APS team before the functional project go-live and prepare support document on the wiki/SharePoint. Contribute to the team resource development. Effective transfer and share functional and technical knowledge to teammates. This is a hands-on role, which will develop good understanding of Global Markets and Treasury business areas, processes and various Front to Back layers, strong analytical skills and a high level of accuracy when defining business specifications and testing scenarios.

Qualifications

Candidates should have/be able to demonstrate :- Strong Program Management skillset and expertise in delivering large transformation programs Strong people skills being a team player and working with Front Office, Operations, Finance teams International exposure in working in a complex matrix organization Strong analytical and interpersonal skills as well as reporting capabilities Strong communication and presentation skills both verbal and written Experience as a BA/Developer in banking environment would be a plus Be business oriented, positive, resilient, full of stamina with a clear focus on results and deliveries Be creative, innovative, pro-active and convincing in terms of finding solutions.
