The Business Support Coordinator

  • Asia is primarily responsible for providing the highest level of commercial & administrative support, coordination to the Regional General Manager Asia and the regional hub to ensure key business objectives are met. In addition, this role is responsible for the daytoday management of the relevant business areas which includes but not limited to assistance with key projects and initiatives.

In the role, you will be required to:

  • Plan and manage office tasks to ensure 100% completion of planned activities are met and meet stakeholder's expectations.
  • Ensure all accounts are paid in a timely manner and investigates all discrepancies.
  • Provide event management and coordination for Port & Corporate events including offsite days, open days, special events and employee communications etc.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal/external business relationships to ensure product and service strategies reflect business unit objectives.
  • Enhance efficiency and service levels by reviewing and recommending improvements to existing processes.
  • Produce clear, considered and insightful analytical reports in a professional style which is suitable to presentation to the board and senior management.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Exceptional communication skills, ability to play a strong support role in integrating Qantas stakeholders.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to brief and influence and/or motivate and develop people to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Experience and ability working within a dynamic and fast paced team environment.
  • Must be able to think clearly, creatively and work independently under pressure, whilst being an effective team member.
  • Proficient knowledge in using Microsoft office such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to work to deadline.
  • Experience with reporting and presenting.
