About the Role


The Head of Compliance will be responsible for ensuring that the company functions under good corporate governance and complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

This individual will oversee the development and implementation of the company's compliance program, including policies, procedures, and training. S/He will design and manage the end-to-end approval and reporting processes for Credit Saison's global businesses.

This role requires business level proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written) to coordinate and report to the Group Headquarter in Japan.


What You Will Do (Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs))

  • Develop and implement the company's governance structure and compliance program, including policies, procedures, and training (in both English and Japanese).
  • Design and manage the endtoend approval and reporting processes for Credit Saison's global businesses.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments to identify areas of potential noncompliance and develop measures to mitigate those risks.
  • Report on compliance issues to senior management, Risk Committee and Japan HQ (in English and Japanese) and make recommendations for improving the compliance program.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of the company's compliance program and activities in Japanese and English.
  • Create and maintain an ethical culture within the company, including developing a code of conduct.
  • Manage compliancerelated incidents, such as breaches of policy or noncompliance with laws and regulations.
  • Stay uptodate on changes in laws, regulations, and industry best practices that may impact the company's compliance program.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

What You Will Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in compliance or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Indepth knowledge of corporate governance and industry best practices
  • At least business level proficiency in Japanese language (spoken and written) to implement compliance programs in both English and Japanese, as well as to liaise with Group Headquarter
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of building and leading highperforming teams.
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
