OVERVIEW

This role primarily focuses on supporting front office applications, data, and integrating them with middle and back-office systems. The position involves extensive interaction with investment professionals such as Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Analysts to proactively address issues and identify opportunities for workflow/system enhancements. A strong understanding of financial markets, trade lifecycles, fundamental research, data, and analysis is crucial. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in database and application development, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an investment advisory role, particularly in front, middle, and back office systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Enhance, support, and maintain the firm's front, middle, and back-office systems
  • Collaborate with the global application support team across multiple locations
  • Engage with PMs, Traders, and Analysts to resolve issues and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Provide support for geographically dispersed teams and external vendor technical support

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

To effectively represent the Company and engage with clients, candidates must have:

  • Experience with development environments using agile methodologies and production environments within an ITIL framework
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for internally developed systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Macro products and experience in building Excel/VBA tools
  • Exposure to Linux, C++, C#, Python-based applications, SQL across various databases, and Bloomberg market data
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and effective communication skills
  • Ability to adjust work hours and a sociable personality

  • Middle/Back-office - Traiana/CTM/Omgeo Oasys
  • Broker Trading Applications - Marquee/Passport/TT/FXALL/PinPoint
  • Market Data services - BPIPE/SAPI/Reuters/Fact Set/Axioma/Markit
  • RPC Frameworks - ZeroC Ice

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-7 years of Hedge fund experience or similar
  • Computer science degree
