At Marina Bay Sands, the Principal Quality Assurance Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing a range of automation initiatives within the organization. Key responsibilities:
  • Engage in various stages of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for IT Projects and collaborate with different IT stakeholders including 3rd party vendors, development team, business analysts, project managers, and project stakeholders to discuss testing activities.
  • Collaborate with vendors and IT teams to coordinate project schedules and plans.
  • Prioritize, develop, manage, and maintain all automation projects within agreed timelines while providing regular progress updates to IT Leadership.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, goal setting, performance management, and growth of a team of automation engineers.
  • Mentor automation engineers and offer support for their career advancement.
  • Develop the Automation roadmap for the organization.
  • Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to give timely and meaningful feedback, and create effective automation designs.
  • Identify automation opportunities and create precise and high-quality scripts to automatically test product functionality.
  • Review and approve automation designs and artefacts for all automation requests.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
  • Responsible for creating test plans and other QA documents according to the Company's standards.
  • Perform various tests on systems, networks, applications, databases, and software.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing protocols to validate automation system functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in automation setups.
  • Continuously assess, maintain, and update automation systems for optimal performance.
  • Identify, document, thoroughly document, and track bugs.
  • Assist in the coordination of User Acceptance Testing.
  • Document processes and system configurations to facilitate future modifications.
  • Adhere to IT Quality Control, SDLC, and Project Governance internal and regulatory guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform any other relevant tasks or assignments as requested by the Company.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 9 years' experience in automation engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Micro Focus UFT.
  • Project management experience.
  • Certification in automation systems or related technologies is a plus.
  • Strong technical skills and expertise in scripting languages like VBScript and/or Java for automated script writing.
  • Sound understanding of SDLC, testing methodologies, and frameworks with the ability to proactively develop effective QA designs, plans, solutions, and test cases.
  • Excellent analytical skills to address challenges in a service-oriented environment.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Outstanding communication skills to engage effectively with various Business Stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating with other IT teams to seamlessly integrate automated solutions.
