Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for overseeing processes and personnel involved in quality assurance testing. This role focuses on developing effective methodologies throughout the QA lifecycle and collaborating with various teams to guarantee a superior product.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Establish and enforce quality assurance standards and metrics throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with end users, Business Analysts, Designers, and Development Teams to define and refine the test coverage plan, ensuring scalability and adequacy of test scenarios and cases.
  • Provide estimations for testing efforts related to sprint features.
  • Conduct system integration testing with external systems and generate comprehensive test reports utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Develop and maintain a requirement traceability matrix.
  • Work with end users to ensure thorough execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Coordinate with the Development Team to ensure timely resolution of bugs and identify root causes.
  • Analyze bug trends and refine QA processes to enhance overall product quality.
  • Develop and optimize QA processes and agreements with stakeholders through regular retrospectives.
  • Share findings and improvements with the team and end users.
  • Collaborate with the Delivery Team to plan, schedule, and execute regression testing for each product release.
  • Assist end users in preparing acceptance documentation for project sign-off.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields (preferably in Engineering disciplines) with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience.
  • Preference for candidates with BIM (Building Information Modelling/Management) experience or certifications such as Certified Software Testing Professional or Certified Software Quality Analyst.
  • Experience in conventional testing methodologies.
  • Strong technical writing skills for creating test cases, scenarios, and steps.
