Responsibilities:

  • Collect venous blood samples using aseptic techniques
  • Ensure blood specimen is drawn from the correct patient by checking the 2 patient identifiers
  • Label appropriate samples using the "add specimen" module in CPOE, verify requested tests and dispatch samples to laboratories.
  • Assist in the servicing and maintenance of phlebotomy tools
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager

Requirements:

  • Polytechnic Diploma
  • Phlebotomist
  • Phlebotomy experience or certificate is preferred
  • Computer literacy
