Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre is looking for an
Accountant who is able to perform a variety of routine accounting duties to ensure correct reporting of revenues and costs, and/or timely receipt of monies owed to the hotel.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviews and ensures that all accounting processes comply with IHG's CSA guidelines
  • To oversee finance sections on Accounts Payable, Cost Controller, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, Paymaster & General Cashier
  • Controls all balance sheet accounts by preparation of monthly account reconciliations and actions accordingly
  • Prepare & file GST returns
  • Assures internal control compliance
  • Manage internal and external audits when they occur
  • Ensure an accurate, timely and comprehensive set of accounts is maintained on all financial
- transaction

  • Managing & coordinating the yearend process concerning audit timelines, financial statement preparation and submitting timely and accurately
  • Prepares relevant monthend journals and posting
  • Involving monthly beverage inventory.
  • Review and analyze/ investigate departmental expenses in monthly profit & loss
  • Assists in budget preparation and input, forecast reports and monthly reporting to corporate finance and owning company.
  • Prepares monthly Financial Statements for distribution to Department Heads and Executives
  • Prepares asset purchase/disposal report for owners
  • Maintain and monitor all maintenance contracts, agreements and licenses
  • Supervise accounts team in the daily operation work and closing
  • Creating new vendor and bank details in the accounting system and maintaining the vendor bank details.
  • Coordinate and verify annual OE, Linen inventory count.
  • Review the rewards points report submitted by Front Office in Loyalty Connect against the daily check report generated from PMS and communicate with the Front office if any discrepancies between the rewards point report and the checkout report.
  • Issuing gift certificates requested by the user department upon GM approval and maintaining accurate records of gift certificate issuances.
  • Produce any special and/or adhoc reports required by the management team.
  • Assists with any other adhoc finance duties, including cover duties of Finance colleagues.

What We Need From You


Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting & Finance or related field with 3 years' in hotel accounting or auditing experience or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.


Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office especially in Microsoft Excel.
  • Problemsolving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
  • Good writing skills
  • Experience in working internationally and crossculturally in the hospitality industry
  • Able to quickly and accurately assess the scope of implementation of proposed innovation and keep in with the current trends and innovation in the industry
  • Extensive and credible appreciation of brands
  • Enquiring mind with an understanding of innovation and guest experience and the challenges involved in implementing successful change within the hotel operation
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills. Able to network and influence peers and senior management with credible and compelling arguments
  • Must be challenging, diplomatic and able to work across all levels of the organization
  • High level of capability and credibility in influencing colleagues across functions
  • High degree of personal drive, selfstarter and able to work independently without regular direct management
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; articulate, persuasive & influential; systematic and timely
