What the role is

  • Social Support Group (SSP) oversees the operations planning and delivery of social services for lowincome and vulnerable groups.

The Operations Planning Division (OP) translates policies and programmes for implementation by Social Service Offices (SSOs), SSAs and other partners.

In addition, it will also drive manpower and capability development and risk management work for the Group.

The Social Service Systems Office (S3O) under the Operations Planning Division aims to better support vulnerable families and individuals with complex needs and ensures that they can access assistance in a timely and integrated manner.

S3O oversees the implementation of case coordination processes/practices and works with partners to enhance case coordination capabilities.
You will be part of the S3O that works with other partner agencies to:

  • Identify and resolve systems issues (i.e. cases with issues that cut across agencies, cases not within conventional policy boundaries).
  • Resolve complex cases with systems issues.
  • Leverage technology such as Case Connect (Referral & Coordination) and Help Neighbour feature, and leverage data analytics to identify areas for improvement in policies or processes.
  • Build capability to resolve cases with systems issues, through Guidelines for Case Master Action Planning (Case MAP), Cross Sector Attachments, as well as support and guidance to SSO Regional Services (RS) teams.

What you will be working on

  • Work with agencies to resolve complex cases where clients may not be able to access government assistance based on mainstream criteria.
  • Drive the adoption and development of Case Connect (Referral & Coordination) to enable frontline workers from government agencies, social service agencies and public healthcare institutions to refer clients and work on cases together more seamlessly.

What we are looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work or Psychology or Post-Graduate Diploma in Social Work or Psychology
  • At least 2 years of relevant and direct case work experience
  • Good in delivering training content
  • Good interpersonal skills and good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with IT systems preferred
  • Passion for serving our needy clients and developing people
  • Good analytical and writing skills
  • Resourceful team player who exercises initiative at work
  • Ability to multitask
  • Attention to details
