Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Provide direct support to the Arbitration team with their legal work including proof reading, checking for consistency within and across agreements and crossreference checks, preparing document bibles and filings
  • Drafting of ancillary document, schedules and exhibits; and
  • Support in the process of signing, closing and postcompletion support to feeearners
  • Oversee the practice's development though maintaining databases of client contacts and ongoing live document bibles for clients;
  • Assist in the maintenance of practice notes and standard forms
  • Responsible for collating billing financial information, conduct research on legal developments or new areas of law relevant to the Group; and assist in the maintenance of practice notes and standard forms
  • Any other adhoc duties assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong spoken and written English
  • Previous experience in Arbitration at a peer international firm is advantageous
  • Degree in Law or Postgraduate Diploma in Law
  • High professional standards;
  • Hardworking, resilient and committed team player and ability to operate under pressure;
  • Excellent drafting skills to assist with preparation of ancillary and first draft documents;
  • Ability to research tasks and present findings in a coherent manner;
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills;
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels;
  • Pragmatic, selfmotivated, flexible and able to work both in team and individually as required;
  • Willingness to take on additional tasks as and when required;
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ideally experience of iManage/document management systems.
