Research Assistant/Research Associate/Research Fellow

The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information is seeking a Research Assistant/Associate/Fellow intrigued by exploring the impact of digital health technologies on the well-being of older adults, including health apps, wearables, exergames, VR, and AR.

The chosen candidate will collaborate with esteemed scholars from NTU, Singapore ETH Centre, and ETH Zurich to contribute to building a digital health tech ecosystem for older adults in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough literature searches
  • Aid in designing surveys, experiments, and focus group/interviews
  • Support in analyzing data from various sources, including social media and health apps/wearables
  • Contribute to research publications and presentations
  • Assist in preparing progress and final research reports
  • Share research findings under the guidance of the Principal Investigator
  • Manage administrative tasks related to the research program

Job Requirements:

  • PhD or Master's degree in fields like communication, psychology, sociology, or a related social science discipline. Bachelor's degree with relevant experience will also be considered
  • Previous involvement in social science and/or research on digital health technologies for older adults
  • Proficient in quantitative/qualitative data analysis tools such as SPSS, MPLUS, R, or Python
  • Strong communication and organizational skills for effective teamwork
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a diverse team setting
  • Established research track record demonstrated through journal publications and conference presentations

Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
