Accountant & Business Intelligence Analyst

is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as an Accountant & Business Intelligence Analyst.

This unique role will involve managing and performing accounting operations for our outsourced clients while also analysing and interpreting complex data sets to support their strategic decision-making processes.

**Responsibilities:
Accounting

  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring accurate and timely completion of accounting and financial reporting tasks.
  • Review financial data for anomalies and discrepancies, making necessary adjustments.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to both local and international accounting standards (AFRS, IFRS).
  • Liaise with external auditors, providing necessary information and facilitating audits as required.
  • Participate in client meetings, presenting financial data and advising on best practices for financial management.

Business Intelligence

  • Design, develop, and maintain relational databases for data storage and data mining.
  • Collaborate with team members to define project objectives and establish project approaches.
  • Leverage on Microsoft Solutions (e.g., PowerBI, SQL Server (SSMS), SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Azure Data Factory, Power Automate, Power Query, Power BI services) and other enterprises to build and support solutions for client's BI requirements.
  • Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI, Power BI paginated reports, Telerik reporting or any related tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an accounting role, with strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical modelling, with a strong foundation in data management and database design.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero) and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, PowerBI).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Data Analyst (CDA) certification is a plus .
