Temporary Research Fellow at Assoc Prof Yen Choo's lab at LKC Medicine

We are in search of a highly motivated and skilled Research Fellow to join our team and contribute to this fascinating project.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build synthetic gene circuits for lineage control in iPSCs
  • Perform experiments to enhance differentiation protocols for producing beta cells
  • Analyze the functionality and stability of engineered beta cells using molecular and functional assays
  • Collaborate with team members to incorporate synthetic gene circuits into larger regulatory networks
  • Analyze experimental data and contribute to scientific publications and presentations
  • Keep up to date with the latest advancements in stem cell biology, gene editing technologies, and synthetic biology
  • Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. or equivalent degree in molecular biology, bioengineering, stem cell biology, or a related field
  • Prior hands-on experience with standard molecular biology techniques including cloning, PCR, qRT-PCR, Western blots, and mammalian cell culture
  • Experience with stem cell culture and differentiation protocols, particularly with iPSCs
  • Experience with multiparametric flow cytometry
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and problem-solve creatively
