Position Summary

Reporting into the Retail Merchandising Manager, the Retail Merchandising Assistant manager will play a crucial supporting role in rolling out the permanent visibility projects for all brands across Edrington's Global Travel Retail (GTR) markets and channels.

This will include setting clear guidelines on retail designs and formulating detailed implementation standards for all branded retail spaces in GTR.

He/She is required to work in close partnership with many different stakeholders ranging from customers (retailers), global brand team (retail/creative/brand), retail agencies and the GTR community (regional marketing, customer marketing, commercial and finance teams).

Job Description

Permanent Visibility management:

  • Assist in development, design adaptation, retailer submission, production and installation of permanent visibility projects for Breakthrough Brands (Highland Park, Brugal) The Famous Grouse and Naked Malt.
  • Work with key stakeholders (commercial, customer marketing, retailers) to provide support and advice in order to deliver best inclass retail standards for all brands.
  • Support in the execution of promotional activities for ShopinShops based on the annual marketing calendar.
  • Work closely with regions to help execute their permanent visibility targets and plans secured for the year.
  • Aid with optimization of space and consistency in display of products through planogram software.
  • Regular updates of counter database.
  • Manage all requests for maintenance and repairs.
Permanent & Boutique Point of Sale Materials (POSM) management:

  • Oversee and manage all POSMs development, ordering and production. To follow up orders with agencies and markets and ensure order fulfillment.
  • To manage all POSM inventory and ensure sufficient stock to disseminate to markets for each installation.

A&P management:

  • Check and verify all invoices against completion of projects before submitting to finance for payment.
Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in Luxury Goods and Services and / or FMCG.
  • Ideally with Travel Retail background
- across multiple market channels and territories.

  • Ability to draw and understand detailed technical drawings is a requirement.
  • Strong project management skills, well organised, ability to multitask and build good working relationships with people throughout the business, third party operators and partner agencies.
  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or Marketing or Design
  • Excellent communication skills and high proficiency in spoken and written English. Proficiency in Chinese is preferred.
