We're on the lookout for an energetic individual to join us as Deputy Director, Digital Synthesis.

Essential Job Functions

As the Deputy Director, Digital Synthesis, you'll be leading diverse digital and data teams to assist stakeholders in spearheading the digital transformation for SCS and NSC. This involves leveraging new technological advancements and data insights to enhance decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

You'll be working alongside the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in the following areas:

  • Ensure that the Digital Synthesis workplan aligns with NSC's strategic objectives and overarching digital strategy.
  • Define Product Vision and Roadmap by conducting market research, utilizing metrics & experience, Ideation, Prototyping, Service Design, and effectively presenting this vision to stakeholders for both current SCS and NSC.
  • Track the performance of launched digital products to meet set objectives and key results, utilize data-driven insights to enhance product and business outcomes, and implement automation for operational efficiency.
  • Lead the Digital Synthesis team in executing digitalization projects, including data science initiatives that promote a data-centric culture and informed decision-making.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and innovate digital solutions to drive automation and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct customer research and analyze product performance to uncover new opportunities, suggest revamps and modernizations of existing products in line with business needs.
  • Spearhead change management initiatives to cultivate an environment of innovation, collaboration, and continual enhancement within the organization.
  • Assist HR in formulating the Digital Competency Framework to bolster digital skills among SCS staff and organize relevant workshops.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, standards, and security requirements for proper governance, financial management, and performance oversight.
  • Guide, mentor, and empower staff to maintain high-performance teams that achieve organizational goals.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should hold a tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, business analysis, and/or relevant ICT roles, with expertise in data analytics implementation and service design. Strong track record in delivering IT systems and products, including at least 5 years of team leadership.
  • Demonstrated skills in User/Product Research, and knowledge of Agile product development methodologies.
  • Proven leadership abilities encompassing effective people management, stakeholder engagement, team management, and vendor coordination.
  • Possess strong analytical, conceptualization, problem-solving, and change management skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
