Role:

Text Translation:Translate a wide range of documents, including technical, legal, medical, marketing, and general business materials, from [Source Language] to [Target Language] while preserving the original meaning, tone, and context.

Interpretation:Provide real-time spoken translation during meetings, conferences, and other events as needed.

Localization:Adapt content to fit the cultural, linguistic, and legal norms of the target audience. This may involve modifying text, images, and formats to ensure appropriateness and effectiveness.

Editing and Proofreading:Review translated content for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and spelling errors. Ensure that the final output meets quality standards and adheres to client specifications.

Terminology Management:Create and maintain glossaries and databases of terms to ensure consistent and accurate use of terminology across all translations.

Cultural Mediation:Serve as a cultural liaison to bridge gaps and ensure effective communication and understanding between parties from different cultural backgrounds.

Project Management:Manage multiple translation projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.

Research:Conduct research to understand industry-specific terminology and concepts to provide accurate translations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in translation, linguistics or related field
  • Bilingual in both spoken and written English & Chinese language is key
  • Proven experience in the translation industry a plus
  • Strong writing, editting and proofreading skills
  • Strong understanding of business industries a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and under tight deadlines
  • Highly accountable and takes ownership of one's own work
  • Positive and has high energy
  • Resourceful and high willingness to learn
