A Capital Operations Analyst is responsible for handling various tasks related to investment and financial operations.

This may include reviewing and processing investment documentation, ensuring accurate recording of investment transactions, assisting with loan documentation, communicating with relevant stakeholders, and contributing to quarterly valuations.

The role also involves participating in ad hoc projects assigned by the Investment Team and Management, and actively contributing to the maintenance of strong internal controls within the organization.


Responsibilities:

Capital Management & Operations:

  • Support asset/portfolio management activities as required.
  • Coordinate with developers and partners to receive ongoing project status updates.
  • Maintaining the hurdle IRR/MOIC/Project timeline/other financial KPI's agreed for each project and at the portfolio level.
  • Leverage skills in reporting and accountancy to improve the fund flow process, and updating the financial models (fund and asset levels).
  • Assess potential investments to ensure they meet the criteria of the investment policy in terms of risk, valuation, and quality.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Create and maintain pitchbooks for fund raising needs or LP (Limited Partner) reporting requirements.
  • Prepare investment memos and financial models for Investment Committee, including due diligence checks on documents and information provided by developers.
  • Fund flow memo, and cash reporting for funds.

Relationship Building:

  • Communicate with developers to understand their deal pipeline and assess developers' relationship with their channel partners to calculate probability of deal closing percentage.
  • Sharing of Key Takeaways (KTAs) from relevant meetings to teammates across the region.
  • Support the communication with debt / equity providers on a regular basis.

Process Improvement and Risk Assessment:

  • Assist the team in carrying out model updates, compiling monthly reports to investors and handling inquiries from the investors.
  • To support new softwarebased solutions for data integrity and reporting.
  • Assist the team to create / improve written workflows on portfolio management tasks including the investment process, model updates, monthly reports, and software
- based solutions.

  • Prepare liquidity management (actuals/future) via a fund flow memo.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in finance, Economics, or Business
  • At least 35 year's experience as a Financial Analyst
  • Proficiency in Excel, ppt and internal reporting
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently on multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Ability to structure unstructured problems.
  • Professional working proficiency in English and Japanese is a plus
