This role reports into the Global Product Management Director. It maintains a portfolio of current patents and provides support in the preparation and filing of patents.

Typical Accountabilities

  • Perform patent, literature and internet prior art searches
  • Analyse prior art search results and evaluate technology/invention disclosures to determine if they meet the statutory requirements of patentability
  • Prepare and present patentability and IP due diligence reports.
  • Review IP clauses in existing and new agreements, such as IP management, research collaboration and license agreements.
  • Oversee the filing, prosecution and overall management of an IP portfolio (e.g. patents, copyright etc.)
  • Work with Filter Innovation and Marketing on commercial presentation

Requirements:

  • Graduate certificate in IP Law, or Post graduate diploma
  • Prior experience in IP related work and familiarity with the patent process
  • Skilled in webbased research and IP data analytical tools
  • Good command of English language, both written & oral
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skill is a plus
  • Detail oriented is a plus
