We are seeking a passionate IT Specialist, News and Technology to join our dynamic team at Reuters News & Media Technology, located in Singapore.
The role involves being part of the specialized Reuters Special Technology Services (STS) team, where you will handle end user support and system support while actively contributing to project delivery. The ideal candidate should take ownership of tasks from beginning to end and excel in project execution in a fast-paced environment.

About the Position
As an IT Specialist, News and Technology, your main responsibilities include:
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
Delivering 2nd level end user support to Reuters users in the Text and Visuals departments. Acting as a key point of contact for escalations from stakeholders within the Reuters editorial team, reporting directly to the Director of Special Technology Services Organization Collaborating with technology teams to define and implement new and creative technological solutions.User and System Support (60%):
Assisting staff with end user hardware and software issues (Windows and macOS devices, applications, soft phones, mobile phones, etc.) Supporting editorial and internally developed applications. Managing backend infrastructure and systems as needed. Providing support in person and over the phone as necessary. Initiating the Major Incident process when necessary to mitigate the impact on Reuters' operations, as well as participating in Technical Recovery calls.Projects (10%):
Being part of support and project delivery, the candidate may be required to travel internationally on ad-hoc and planned occasional basis to assist with deployment upgrade work, office/floor moves, and journalistic events. Working independently or as part of a team to execute single or multiple projects as assigned. Performing physical tasks, including equipment setup and installation.macOS Platforms (30%):
Serving as the go-to person for daily macOS support, device configuration, and handling non-standard issue resolutions. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, internal Thomson Reuters technology and security teams, and third-party technology partners to ensure effective macOS support, platform development, and project delivery. Conducting installation testing and working with the business on user acceptance, functional, and load testing.About You
To qualify for the IT Specialist, News and Technology position, you should possess:
Essential Skills & Experience Required:
Solid knowledge of operating systems (MacOS, Windows, iOS, Android) Proficiency in networks (DHCP, DNS, subnets, routing, etc). Strong working experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and VPNs Experience in a high-volume ticketing environment and systems (ServiceNow) Proven track record of successful support and project delivery Exceptional interpersonal skills and a quick learning ability Motivated and proactive mindset Ability to apply logical troubleshooting strategiesDesired Skills:
Familiarity with server operating systems (Windows Server, Unix, Linux) Understanding of technology security and related best practices Proficiency in a second language would be advantageous. Basic knowledge of non-linear video editing, video formats, and standardsWhat the Role Offers
