About the Role

This position is for a Senior Associate at the Private Funds Group in Brookfield Asset Management. The focus is to assist senior client relationship managers in raising capital for the Brookfield Private Funds, mainly concentrating on institutional investors in Asia Pacific. Additionally, the role involves maintaining existing client relationships. This opportunity provides exposure to institutional fundraising within the alternatives industry.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Supporting fund marketing activities, client prospect due diligence, and onboarding processes
  • Assisting CRMs in generating new client investment activity
  • Coordinating meetings with investment teams and handling on-site due diligence meetings
  • Directly communicating with clients to support their due diligence requests where necessary
  • Maintaining Brookfield's internal CRM system (Salesforce) for accurate internal reporting
  • Contributing to ad-hoc Business Development activities
  • Conducting industry and client-specific research
  • Assisting in coordinating road shows, conferences, and investor meetings
  • Facilitating investor communication initiatives

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business management, marketing, communications, or related field
  • Fluency in Mandarin is a plus
  • 5-7 years of experience in private equity investments, fund marketing, due diligence, sales, or client services
  • Strong understanding of the fundraising process and fund subscription procedures
  • Knowledge of corporate valuations and fund positioning
  • Undergraduate degree with a strong academic background
  • Post-graduate studies in finance (CFA, MBA, CA/CPA) are advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Team player with a proactive attitude
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams
  • Highly motivated with attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
