About the position
We are seeking an Associate Director, EH&S Asia Services to lead multiple teams overseen by EH&S generalist managers or supervisors. In this role, you will establish and execute EH&S operations and objectives for HVAC Services in Asia. You will recommend and implement policies and operating plans to support the EH&S strategy. Additionally, you will collaborate with services operations, EH&S management, and senior executive leadership both within and outside EH&S to ensure compliance and drive various EH&S initiatives across multiple lines of business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a dispersed team of country and regional EHS Managers across Asia
- Promoting the importance of EHS in the organization and actively supporting efforts to achieve or surpass EHS goals
- Collaborating with service operations to integrate EHS performance into branch operations
- Leading continuous improvement in EHS while ensuring operational compliance
- Overseeing the EHS program to maintain compliance with existing and future legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements
- Participating in management review meetings to discuss EHS performance and upcoming actions
- Collaborating with other EHS professionals to establish best practices relevant to the industry
- Managing all EHS regulatory reporting requirements and serving as a subject matter expert in communications with external authorities
- Developing and implementing EHS plans for Asia aligned with the strategic direction
- Providing guidance on incident prevention and overseeing EHS investigations
- Promoting an EHS culture and building external stakeholder relationships
- Managing subcontractors' safety performance and conducting EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Guiding implementation of management systems and certification standards
Requirements:
We are looking for individuals with a background in leading and familiarity with construction or field services based operations. If this describes you, we would like to hear from you.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Advanced EHS-related degree, or MBA preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading teams across multiple countries
- Over 10 years of progressive EHS work experience in construction or field services based operations
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
- Regulatory knowledge including safety, environmental, and other standards applicable to building services industries and construction
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive change, and collaborate cross-functionally
- Proficiency in software applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a matrix environment
