THE ROLE

We areexpanding our team and have an exciting opportunity in our Singapore office, fora Dry Cargo Ship Broker with proven experience in any vessel size. Idealcandidates will demonstrate a successful Broking background in Dry Cargo shipbroking. You will be personable, tenacious and a natural networker, having aproactive approach to generating leads and securing new business.

Keyresponsibilities:

• Promote FIS as a company; providing market intelligence and analysisto clients;
  
• Maintain and enhance existing client relationships, making regularcontact and tracking daily trading activities;
  
• Drive revenue and develop and enhance client base;
  
• Understand the team's business strategy and identify new businessopportunities relating to trends, future markets, products and clients;
  
• Undertake market analysis, providing market insight and trade ideasto clients;
  
• Responsible for daily price discovery, dissemination and matching;
  
• Create and write daily market reports as required;
  
• Identify and introduce new clients to the market and maintainprofessional relationships;
  
• Perform any other reasonable duties the company may require.
  

Riskrelated responsibilities

• Support a risk and compliance aware culture and comply with FIScompany policies
  
• Ensure full awareness of and adhere to internal policies that relateto the role or any relevant other activities
  

• Seek regular feedback from Desk Head to ensure role requirements aremet
  
• Complete any mandatory training required by the company and requireddeadlines
  
• Maintain own Continued Professional Development (CPD)
  

• Demonstrate successful track record of Dry Cargo shipbroking;
  
• Strong client focus; personable and engaging building relationshipsand networks wherever possible;
  
• Good understanding of Dry Cargo markets – essential
  
• Experience in Handymax / Supramax or Panamax vessels - essential
  
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues combined withexcellent negotiation skills;
  
• Tenacious and thrives in a pressurised environment;
  
• Naturally team oriented; works well with others and diverse groups /personalities;
  
• Excellent attention to detail; strong analytical and numeracy skills;
  
• Travel and attending client social events
