What you'll do:

As a Technical Writer (2.5-months Contract), you will play an instrumental role in collecting and investigating technical data from diverse sources. Your capability to arrange and structure this content will ensure it is effortlessly accessible and comprehensible by the target audience. You will be accountable for composing and revising a variety of technical documents while cooperating with diverse teams. Your meticulous attention to detail will be crucial in reviewing and amending documentation for precision and consistency. Moreover, your creativity will be evident as you incorporate visual aids to enhance comprehension.

  • Collect and investigate technical data from subject matter experts, pertinent external sources, and internal contacts
  • Arrange and structure technical content for end-user consumption ensuring lucidity, effortless reading, and accessibility for the target audience
  • Compose and revise various types of technical documentation such as user manuals, user documentation, tutorials, user guides, specifications, and instruction manuals
  • Cooperate with cross-functional teams to collect necessary information and better comprehend complex information
  • Review and amend documentation for precision, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines
  • Incorporate visual aids to enhance the understanding of technical information

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Technical Writer (2.5-months Contract) role brings along a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field along with at least five years of experience in technical writing. Your previous experience with Workday Finance implementations will be highly beneficial. You possess excellent English language skills for writing, editing, and proofreading product user and training documentation. Your strong knowledge of best technical writing practices and familiarity with various CMS and documentation tools will be crucial in this role. Additionally, your proficiency in using graphics editing software and screen capture tools will aid in creating engaging visuals and illustrations.

  • A Bachelor's degree in technical writing, technical communications, computer science, information technology or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a Technical Writer
  • Previous experience with Workday Finance implementations
  • Proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading product user and training documentation in English
  • Strong knowledge of best technical writing practices including style guides and industry standards
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and documentation tools such as Microsoft SharePoint, Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word
  • Proficiency in using graphics editing software and screen capture tools for creating visuals and illustrations
  • Proven writing experience with FAQs, user guides or manuals in a technical field
  • Work experience with version control systems such as Git for managing documentation reviews
