AI Compiler Engineer, Math/System Acceleration and Validation

- Development of AI compiler framework, high performance kernel authoring and acceleration onto the next generation of hardware architectures.
- Contribute to the development of top-notch machine learning framework core compilers to back new cutting-edge inference and training machine learning/AI accelerators and enhance their performance.
- Collaborating with AI research experts to speed up the upcoming deep learning models like recommendation systems, computer vision, or natural language processing.
- Develop fundamental mathematical and system acceleration libraries and tactics to further boost AI workloads.
- Analyze deep learning networks, approximate target latency, and accuracy.
- Development of profiling tools to identify bottleneck parts of AI accelerators and models.
- Development of optimized inference applications.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, machine learning, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or related field.
- Experience in C/C++, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
- Experience in accelerating deep learning models or libraries on hardware architectures.
- Experience working with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English at a professional level.
- Experience as a Product Owner of a scrum team is advantageous.

Overview
We are in search of a skilled and driven AI Math/System Acceleration and Validation Engineer to join our team. In this position, you will be an integral part of the AI & Cloud Engineering (ACE) Division and the Hybrid Compiler team.
The team has been formulating a comprehensive AI Compiler strategy that provides a highly adaptable platform for exploring novel DL/ML model architectures, coupled with auto-tuned high performance for production settings across a diverse range of hardware architectures. The compiler framework, ML graph optimizations, and kernel authoring specific to the hardware significantly impact the performance, developer efficiency, and deployment speed of both AI training and inference platforms. Your role will involve developing AI compiler frameworks to expedite machine learning workloads on the next wave of AI hardware. You will become part of our recently established AI & Cloud Engineering unit, comprised of approximately 100 software engineers. Owing to the considerable demand for our AI-related products, we are preparing to triple our workforce over the next three years, presenting ample opportunities for you to contribute to our collaborative expansion while preserving our close-knit environment. We are primarily focusing on recruitment for our Tokyo, Beijing, and Singapore sites. If you successfully secure a position and reside outside of these locales, we are prepared to facilitate your relocation to one of these three sites based on team requirements.
Our division's objective is to leverage the latest AI and cloud technologies to develop premier AI inference systems for advanced driver safety engineers engaged in constructing autonomous vehicles and other high-performance computing devices. Renesas stands as the foremost provider of automotive electronics worldwide, offering a unique chance to establish the infrastructure needed to deploy our AI software across the billions of devices distributed to consumers annually. You will be part of our recently established AI & Cloud Engineering group, consisting of around 100 software engineers. Due to the robust demand for our AI-associated offerings, we are looking to expand our team threefold in the coming three years, providing substantial room for you to contribute to our collective growth while maintaining a tight-knit atmosphere. Our primary team locations include Tokyo, London, Paris, Dusseldorf, Beijing, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, and other major urban centers; however, you also have the option to join remotely from anywhere globally or receive support for relocating to our primary hubs like Tokyo.
