Practice Area
The Financial Institutions Practice Area (FIPA) at BCG aims to become the preferred consultant for leaders in the financial sector. We strive to assist clients in navigating the constantly evolving and competitive landscape by focusing on the core economics of their businesses and the essential needs of their clientele. We help financial institutions such as banks, brokerages, and asset managers rethink their strategic assumptions, identify compelling business propositions, and seize new opportunities in the expanding digital realm.
Responsibilities
BCG Southeast Asia is seeking Consultants for the Financial Institutions Practice who will collaborate with clients to address their most challenging issues, shift mindsets, create exceptional value, and develop capabilities that drive sustainable advantages for organizations. As a Consultant, your role will include:
- Participating in BCG project teams with high-performing members from diverse backgrounds, conducting thorough fact-based analyses, and developing cutting-edge strategic solutions.
- Engaging closely with clients to grasp their challenges, devise transformation strategies, secure buy-in for your recommendations, and work with colleagues to convert client potential into tangible performance.
Qualifications
We are seeking outstanding individuals from consulting or industry backgrounds to join our team. The ideal candidate should have:
- Strong academic credentials from a reputable institution
- At least 5-6 years of experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm (focusing on financial institutions/financial services) or a financial institution/fintech organization
- Experience in solving complex business problems, crafting business strategies, conducting research, and analytical approaches involving quantitative analysis, conceptualization, and communication of strategic solutions
- Exceptional communication skills in written and spoken English
- Strong numerical abilities, analytical mindset, and structured approach to advanced quantitative analysis
- Solid business acumen, commercial capabilities, and sound business judgment
- Team player who thrives in group settings with a positive and open attitude
