As a Cloud Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, within the Public Cloud Enablement & Adoption, Cloud Platform Services team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.


Job responsibilities

  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Develops secure and highquality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomesoriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion and respect
  • Develops and executes cloud migration strategies for internal clients, including assessment of current infrastructure, designing migration roadmaps, and implementing seamless transitions to cloudbased solutions
  • Collaborates with crossfunctional teams to ensure smooth integration of cloud services, manage potential risks, and provide postmigration support to optimize performance and achieve cost efficiency

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other related disciplines
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Experience in cloud computing technologies such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
  • Proficiency and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders
  • Experience in managing internal client relationships and providing strategic advice and recommendations to internal clients, with a focus on delivering value and driving business outcomes
