Student Admission and Support Staff (Senior Executive / Assistant Manager) or Admissions Counsellor cum Admin Senior Executive/ Assistant Manager
Job summary:
As a Student Admission and Support Staff (Executive) or Admissions Counselor cum Admin, you play a pivotal role in facilitating the admission process and providing essential support to prospective students and their families. This position combines administrative responsibilities with student advising to ensure a seamless and positive experience for all applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Admissions Guidance: Provide comprehensive information about the institution's programs, admission requirements, and application procedures to prospective students and their families.
- Application Processing: Receive, review, and process student applications accurately and efficiently. Ensure all necessary documentation is complete.
- Admissions Interviews: Conduct interviews or informational sessions with prospective students, both in person and through virtual platforms, to assess their suitability for admission and address their questions or concerns.
- Admission Decisions: Participate in the evaluation of student applications and make admission recommendations based on established criteria.
- Support Services: Offer guidance and support to admitted students regarding registration, financial aid, housing, and other related matters. Assist students in understanding and meeting academic requirements.
- Outreach and Recruitment: Participate in recruitment events, open houses, college fairs, and other activities aimed at attracting potential students to the institution.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records of student interactions, application status, student attendance filing, and admission decisions using relevant software and databases.
- Compliance: Ensure that all admission processes comply with institutional policies and relevant regulations including processing of student visas and filing FPS monthly, annual return.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to applicants and their families, addressing their inquiries promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any field. Master's degree can be a preferred choice.
- Previous experience in admissions, student services, or a related role is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using office software and database systems.
- Knowledge of admission processes and educational systems is a plus.
- Able to speak other languages for majority parent community like Hindi or Tamil is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
