The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering andBiotechnology (CCEB) is a new interdisciplinary schoolformed by integrating the School of Chemical and BiomedicalEngineering (SCBE) from College of Engineering and the Division ofChemistry and Biological Chemistry (CBC) from College of Science.CCEB faculty members conduct cutting-edge research in diverse areasof chemistry, chemical engineering, food science, bioengineering,biotechnology, and other fields.

We inviteoutstanding candidates to apply for a tenured faculty position atthe Associate Professor level with a research focus in the area ofComputation-Guided Molecular Engineering. Applicants should have awell-defined research vision and an outstanding track record ofpublications in top journals. Successful candidates are expected todevelop innovative, internationally visible, and extramurallyfunded research programs. We are also seeking candidates withoutstanding capacity to teach related topics at the undergraduateand graduate levels, including mentoring and supervision ofundergraduate and graduate students. Some school and universityservices will be expected of the successful candidates.

Requirements

Weseek expertise in computational molecular modelling, data science,and molecular design for healthcare applications. The idealcandidate will have a strong background in using computationaltechniques to understand and design molecular systems, with a focuson applications in chemical biology and biotechnology. Thisincludes but is not limited to experience with quantum chemicalcalculations and data science for predictive modelling andmolecular design. The candidate should be adept at applying thesemethods to solve complex problems in healthcare. Additionally,expertise in integrating computational data with experimentalresults to drive innovation is highlydesirable.

Emoluments

Thecommencing salary will depend on the candidates' qualifications,experience, and the level of appointmentoffered.
