The Investment Trading Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and various stakeholders across different functions. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

  • Structured Products Advisory - Product idea generation, Investment themes, Payoff / Product recommendations, Product innovation
  • Structured Products Order Management / Book-building
  • Execute trades in Structured Products (Cross Assets) internally and externally (interbank market)
  • End to end product life cycle management
  • Structured Products technology, platform / automation and other projects
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

  • Up to 6 years of experience
  • Knowledge of, or have the desire to learn about the markets and various asset classes (equities, fixed income, commodities, ETFs etc)
  • Knowledge of, and the ability to stay abreast of regulatory requirements
  • Expected knowledge and experience of this individual will be as follows:
  • Familiarity with Financial Markets
  • Understanding of local and US regulatory framework with specific reference to trading and distribution activities
  • A good understanding of the dealing and execution including trade creation and settlement procedures
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail

  • Strong PC skills including Work, Excel, PowerPoint, and applicable internal systems
