It is looking for a Senior Assistant Director who will workclosely with various parts of the university and the industry toachieve its goals. This position provides the platform for theSenior Assistant Director to play an important part in building apipeline of talent with requisite knowledge and skills in carbonmanagement in Asia and to exert his or her abilities to build astrong linkage between the university and the industry.

The role offers an exciting opportunity toengage with and build a network with a wide range of stakeholderswithin the Carbon Market industry in Singapore and the surroundingregion. Besides playing a key role in the successful rollout ofcapacity building programmes, the successful candidate will alsohave the opportunity to contribute directly to thought-leadershipinitiatives and various collaborations withindustry.

JobDescription:

The Senior Assistant Director willplay a key role in managing and expanding the operations of theCarbon Market Academy of Singapore, aimed at becoming Asia's topacademy for carbon management education. This role will focus ondriving industry partnerships, managing the Academy's resources,and enhancing its presence in carbon services and trading acrossSoutheast Asia. The role will also include working closely withstakeholders to harness resources and manage the delivery ofpractice-oriented thought leadership through publications such aswhitepapers and case studies.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Brand Building:Develop and Execute strategy for external communications and brandbuilding initiatives through a variety of modalities so as to buildCMAS' mindshare in Singapore and the surroundingregion.
  • Thought Leadership: Develop and MatureCMAS' pipeline of collaborations / initiatives to publishthought-leadership pieces (case studies / whitepapers), incollaboration with Faculty and Industry partners. Lead theexecution of the editorial and publication efforts by leveraging onCMAS' and wider NTU resources to do so.
  • CourseDevelopment: Develop and Execute a course development strategyaligned with CMAS' mission that is informed by the strategicidentification of demand-supply gaps and the competitive landscapewithin Singapore and the surroundingregion.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & ResourceManagement: In relation to the initiatives above, establish andleverage key stakeholder relationships (both internal and external)whilst harnessing CMAS' resources and the wider NTU capabilities soas to delivery effectively against CMAS' objectives.


The candidate shouldhave:
  • A good bachelor's degree andproven high quality academic achievements.
  • Atleast 10 years of work experience, prior relevant experience willbe an added advantage.
  • Knowledge and experiencein business development and programme management. Experience inmarketing and branding will be anadvantage.
  • Strong strategic thinking andpossess an analytical mind.
  • Excellent writing,communication and organizationalskills.
  • Confident and proactive withdemonstrated dynamism and resourcefulness in problemsolving.
  • Ability to work with people of variouslevels and cultures, with excellent interpersonalskills.
  • Good commercial understanding of thelocal marketplace, coupled with an ability to establish widenetworks and strong relationships with management of differentcompanies.
  • Versatile, Independent self-starterwho takes ownership and accountability.
  • Stronginfluencing skills, with a proven ability to provide pragmaticsolutions.
  • Ability to pro-actively identify andprioritize tasks and be able to escalate matters of significancewhile retaining the responsibility forthem.
  • Demonstrated interest in Sustainabilityand/or Carbon Market related topics would beadvantageous.
