Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Regional Procurement Director-APAC, the position holder will work closely with the Procurement Leader and cross functions and will be:-


Job description

· Responsible for assigned key Raw Material (RM) Sourcing in Asia to improve or sustain supply at competitive cost.

· Sourcing: Establish new suppliers in Asia providing innovation, cost or quality benefits to the Asia and Global Silesia business.

· Negotiation: Executes best practice negotiation across the team for local and selected assigned global suppliers.

· Provides Raw material trend and market understanding to drive coverage decisions and sales information to reflect in product pricing.

· Operational procurement: Ensures stability of supply to manufacturing demand, working closely with demand management and operations to ensure flexibility of supply while optimizing inventories, obsolescence and total costs of ownership.

· Engages with China site and Global procurement organization in selected topics.

· Supports flavor creation and research through sourcing and supplier interactions

· Strategically approaches supplier development for key materials.

· Balances short-term objectives (supply, costs, inventories) with a long-term sustainable view of Silesia supplier base.

· Reporting and forecasting performance, relating to supply, cost and inventories.

· Supports sustainability program and reporting requirements of the company.

· Supports suppliers audit plans & execution together with Quality Management.


Requirements

· BSc or equivalent in supply chain, procurement.

· At least 5 years’ chemical sourcing experience from Asia, preferably in the flavors and fragrance industry or related industry.

· Good understanding of regulatory requirements and EHS constraints around flavor raw materials.

· Experience in a multicultural environment.

· Good written and verbal communication skills (English and Chinese).

· Proficiency in common IT applications (SAP, Excel, MS word, Excel, ppt).
